Every first Saturday of the month the Coastal Land Trust hosts a volunteer trail day! We get together to have fun and do trail maintenance work such as trim trees, rake trails, and move branches!

Gales Creek Preserve, Newport, NC, Carteret County

Gales Creek Preserve is about 254 acres with a longleaf pine restoration area with Gales Creek running through it.  These trails are used by the boy scouts of America and are in need of some cleaning. We will be using hand clippers and rakes to improve the quality of the trails.

Tools will be provided but feel free to bring your own. There will also be water and snacks for volunteers.

Further directions will be provided upon sign up.
