Trail Development Plans Along the Coastal Crescent Route of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail
The Mountains-to-Sea Trail (MST) is the state trail of North Carolina stretching almost 1,200 miles across North Carolina from Clingmans Dome in the Great Smoky Mountains to Jockey’s Ridge on the Outer Banks. The Coastal Crescent route of the MST officially became a part of the trail in 2017 and brings the trail through Southeast NC. Friends of the MST has been working with land managers and local stakeholders to establish priority focus areas and help make this planned trail a reality. The presentation will be an update on the Coastal Crescent focus areas from our soon to be completed Trail Development Plan.
Join us on Friday to hear Kate Dixon and Benjamin Jones of the NC Mountains to Sea Trail will talk about the trail, its history, and highlight new sections of the MST in the Coastal Plain.
