Pollinator Palooza! April 25th
Pollinator Palooza! Highlights the importance of pollinators in nature and our food supply. In April, we will host workshops with elementary afterschool programs in four counties this year: Onslow, Pender, and New Hanover. Then on April 25th from 10 am – 2 pm, the Coastal Land Trust will host a FREE COMMUNITY EVENT at our Wilmington office where families can learn about pollinators and native plants and participate in themed activities.
Flytrap Frolic June 6th
Stanley Rehder Carnivorous Plant Garden; 10 am – 3 pm.
Our 16th annual free community environmental education event features native carnivorous plants that thrive in southeastern NC. Participants will learn about several types of carnivorous plants, why they grow here, and how they trap their prey. We will have guides in the Rehder Garden to answer questions, and popular carnivorous plant themed activities.
*Commitments received by May 8th will be included on the sponsor poster at Flytrap Frolic.
