Volunteer Day – Everett Creek Preserve
February 3 @ 9:00 am - 12:15 pm
February 3rd Everett Creek Workday:
9-11 Trail Work
11:15-12:15 Nature Hike
Everett Creek Preserve is behind Betty Dixon Elementary School in Sneads Ferry, NC, Onslow County. It takes about an hour to get there, so we suggest leaving Wilmington around 7:45 or 8am.
What: 9-11 Trail Work: We will be doing trail maintenance at our Everett Creek Nature Preserve. This will include removal of branches, leaves, or any obstructions on the trail. We will also be clearing out a campsite, which will include removal of branches, small shrubs, and raking.
11:15-12:15 Guided hike at the preserve
What to bring: Water bottle, garden hand tool (if already owned), bagged lunch (optional)
What to wear: We require long pants and close-toed shoes. We suggest long sleeves, gloves, and a hat
If you do not have everything in the suggested things to bring and wear, the Coastal Land Trust will provide: Gloves, hand tools, water, snacks, sunscreen, bug spray, first aid kit
Email americorps@CoastalLandTrust.org to let us know you’ll be there
