The Coastal Land Trust needs volunteers to assist in trail maintenance at the Gales Creek Preserve on Saturday, February 3rd from 9:00 am – 11:00 am. We’ll work together to prepare this beautiful preserve for our spring Environmental Education programs! We will be using hand clippers and rakes to improve the trails and clearings.

The Gales Creek Preserve is located in Carteret County at 1201 Sam Hatcher Road, Newport, NC 28570. After you turn from Nine Mile Rd onto Sam Hatcher Rd, drive to the end of the road and we will all meet there.

Tools will be provided but feel free to bring your own. There will also be water and snacks provided for volunteers. Please bring a reusable water bottle if you have one so we can reduce our waste.
