Project Description

Brunswick Nature Park

Before heading to Brunswick Nature Park to ride bikes, check Cape Fear SORBA to make sure trails are open.

The Coastal Land Trust purchased this large tract of land (912 acres, roughly the size of Central Park) and gave it to Brunswick County in 2004 to create a public Nature Park. Since then, the Coastal Land Trust continues to work with Brunswick County and SORBA to develop the park for multiple passive recreation uses.

The park, located at 2601 River Road (NC 133), Winnabow, NC 28479, hosts hiking trails with a stunning view of Town Creek, biking trails, and a kayak/canoe access to Town Creek. It is open from dawn to dusk, 365 days/year. Trail building and maintenance is currently being done by the Coastal Land Trust – sign up on our volunteer page to become involved.
