It’s important to us at the Coastal Land Trust to support other nonprofits when we can. Over the years, we’ve aided in the mission of many other conservation non-profit organizations here along the North Carolina coast.

Believe it or not, we have helped national organizations like The Nature Conservancy and Ducks Unlimited obtain funding for some of their land acquisition and wetland enhancement projects.

We have partnered with NC Coastal Federation to create a living shoreline at Springer’s Point Preserve.

We supported the launching of the Veteran’s Employment Base Camp and Organic Garden in New Bern and worked with the American Battlefield Trust to conserve part of the Wyse Fork Battlefield, a Civil War battlefield, in Lenoir and Jones Counties.

Last but not least, we are still working with the Cedar Hill West Bank Heritage Foundation in the Town of Navassa to preserve and restore a historic African American church, Reaves Chapel.

And this support and partnership work continues to grow each year!
